PUNE: A lane going towards Satara on the Warje-Vadgaon road on the western outer highway has been shut due to the bursting of a car’s tyre. Because of this incident, there was a huge queue of vehicles proceeding towards Warje and Dukkar Khind on Saturday morning.
A traffic jam was created with only a few hours left for the inauguration of the Chandni Chowk flyover by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The traffic police were busy in trying to streamline the traffic.
API Vishal Pawar of Warje traffic police department said there is a traffic jam due to the tyre burst of a car and Vadgaon Budruk traffic police have been informed.
The incident may have taken place after 7 am. At 7.30 am, there was a huge queue of vehicles proceeding towards Warje and Dukkar Khind on the highway. As a result, the vehicles on the highway at Dukkar Khind started travelling by the service road. After this incident, at 9 am, there was a huge queue of vehicles going towards Satara at Warje.
