In a heart-wrenching accident, a fatal collision between a speeding two-wheeler and a pick-up truck unfolded on the old Pune-Mumbai highway. The incident occurred late on the night of the 27th, around 12:45, near the ABC pump in Talegaon Dabhade.
The young rider of the two-wheeler, identified as 19-year-old Arjun Rajesh Vishwakarma from Borivali East, Mumbai, tragically lost his life in the accident. His co-passenger, Sohan Petade, sustained severe injuries in the collision.
According to the local police, Arjun Vishwakarma was traveling from Mumbai to Pune on a two-wheeler with registration number MH 47 BE 1158. As they reached Talegaon Dabhade, near the ABC Pump, a pick-up truck was making a turn from the highway towards Mantra City. The devastating collision between Arjun’s two-wheeler and the pick-up truck resulted in significant damage to both vehicles. Arjun succumbed to severe injuries, while Sohan Petade, his co-passenger, also suffered serious injuries.
Authorities from the Talegaon Dabhade police station have launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the precise circumstances and causes of the collision.
