GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Hat-Trick: Persistent Systems’ Remarkable Achievement

Setting Records in Commitment

Persistent Systems, a global leader in Digital Engineering and Enterprise Modernization, has made history by securing not one, but three prestigious GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles. These remarkable achievements include creating the Largest bicycle logo/image, gathering the Most live viewers for a cycling awareness video lesson on YouTube, and compiling the Largest online video album of people riding bicycles. These records exemplify Persistent’s dedication to environmental responsibility and employee well-being.

A Token of Appreciation

In the fiscal year 2023, when Persistent Systems reached a significant milestone of exceeding $1 billion in annual revenue, the company wished to express its gratitude to its global workforce for their invaluable contributions. Among the choices offered to employees were electronic audio devices, travel accessories, and bicycles. An astounding 9,000 employees chose the option of receiving a bicycle, inspiring Persistent to embark on its remarkable journey toward GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles and to further motivate its employees on their paths to better fitness.

The Record-Breaking Feats

Persistent Systems demonstrated its commitment to employee health and well-being by creating its company logo using an impressive assembly of 704 bicycles. This not only celebrated the spirit of its workforce but also etched their dedication to well-being into the company’s brand identity. The cycling awareness lesson, broadcast live on YouTube, attracted an impressive audience of 7,348 employees and their families, all eager to learn about cycling best practices and safety. To encourage environmental-friendly transportation choices and inspire more employees to embrace cycling, Persistent created an online video album showcasing people riding bicycles, with an impressive 5,098 individuals contributing to this collective effort.

Sandeep Kalra’s Appreciation

Sandeep Kalra, CEO and Executive Director of Persistent Systems, expressed his thoughts on this remarkable achievement, saying, “Well-being of our employees is an essential part of Persistent’s culture and has always been our priority. We were proud to see that most of our global team members chose bicycles as a billion-dollar gift, and what’s better than creating a world record to celebrate this spirit. Achieving three GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles has encouraged our teams even more to focus on their physical and mental health. I want to express my gratitude to all the employees and their family members who contributed to setting this record and demonstrating their dedication to overall well-being #ThePersistentWay.”
