In an unexpected turn of events, a lawyer riding his motorcycle along the boundary wall of Poona Club Golf Course on Pune Airport Road was injured when a golf ball struck him in the face. The incident occurred on Wednesday (November 29) at approximately 2 pm in front of GST Bhavan, leading the motorcyclist to lose balance and fall.
The victim, a legal professional, and his colleague were en route to the District Land Records Office in Yerawada when the incident transpired. Severe enough to prompt a visit to the Yerawada police station, the injured biker filed a complaint against the Poona Club Golf Course management and an unidentified golfer.
A case has been registered against the golf course management and the individual involved in the game. The lawyer recounted the sudden accident, describing how the golf ball struck him under the eye, causing him to lose control and resulting in a fall. Upon regaining consciousness, the injured biker discovered the golf ball beside him and observed a wound under his eye, prompting him to seek medical attention at Sassoon Hospital.
