In a significant stride towards the realization of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) ring road project, the authority has commenced the crucial land acquisition process for the initial phase, spanning from Alandi to Nagar Road.
Land Acquisition Process Unveiled
Ramdas Jagtap, Deputy Collector at PMRDA, shared insights, “The land acquisition process for the 65-meter wide ring road has been initiated by PMRDA in three villages. The first phase involved Solu village, and the subsequent phases will cover Vadgaon Shinde and Nirgude. These interactions provide us with valuable insights into the concerns, suggestions, and feedback of the villagers regarding the land. Once we finalize and acquire the necessary land from these three villages, we will proceed with the subsequent procedures.”
For the initial stretch of the ring road from Alandi to Nagar Road, approximately 45 hectares of land will be required.
Innovative Approach: Drone Survey Accelerates Land Acquisition
Prior to initiating the land acquisition process, PMRDA employed a novel approach by conducting a drone survey. The use of drones serves the dual purpose of expediting land acquisition and ensuring precise planning for the ambitious project. The data gathered through drone technology plays a pivotal role in both the planning phase and the actual implementation, saving valuable time and resources.
By leveraging drones, PMRDA aims to eliminate errors in the land acquisition process, ultimately preventing disputes and streamlining the overall project timeline. The accuracy provided by drone technology is instrumental in facilitating a seamless and efficient land acquisition process.
