The first merit list for Class 11 admissions in junior colleges across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad is set to be announced today. Students who secure a spot in this list must complete their admission process by July 1. It is mandatory for students who are allotted their first-choice college to confirm their admission.

Admission Process and Seat Allocation

This year, a total of 1,20,265 seats are available in 343 junior colleges in the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area through the central online admission process. Of these, 93,356 seats are allocated for Central Admissions (CAP), while 26,909 seats are reserved for quota admissions. A total of 70,282 students have registered for central admissions.

Provisional Merit List and Finalization

A provisional merit list, which includes 70,367 students who have completed and verified Part-I and Part-II of the admission form, has already been published on the official website. The final merit list for the first round of admissions will be released after processing any objections, corrections, and appeals related to the provisional list. Eligibility marks for various colleges will also be available alongside the merit list.

Confirmation of Admission

Students who receive their first-choice college in the first merit list are required to accept the offer and take admission in that college. Those who do not get their first choice can wait for subsequent rounds. Through their login, students can choose to confirm, deny, or cancel their admission.

Quota Admissions

According to the statistics on the 11th admission website, 3,814 students have already secured admission under institutional quota, management quota, and minority quota.

Next Steps

Students and parents are advised to regularly check the official admission portal for updates and ensure that all necessary documents are ready for the admission process. Timely action is crucial to secure a place in the desired junior college.
