Financial Probe Deepens: Neo Star Infraproject’s ₹435 Crore Transaction Raises Kickback Suspicions

Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th January 2024: Kirit Somaiya has escalated his scrutiny over Neo Star Infraproject, a company associated with Pratap Pawar, revealing startling details during the ongoing investigation. The company, with a nominal ₹1 lakh paid-up capital, reportedly received a staggering ₹435 crores from Serum Institute, the manufacturer of COVISHIELD. Intriguingly, it is alleged that ₹300 crores from this amount were diverted to other Pratap Pawar-owned companies, raising suspicions of possible kickbacks.

In a significant move, Somaiya met with the Registrar of Companies in Pune to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Neo Star Infraproject’s financial records. This latest revelation adds a new layer to the ongoing investigation into financial irregularities involving prominent figures.

The transaction in question points to a substantial sum being funneled from Serum Institute to a company linked to Pratap Pawar, raising concerns about the transparency and legality of the financial dealings. Somaiya, known for his tenacity in exposing financial discrepancies, has hinted at a potential kickback scenario.
