Euphoria Unleashes Musical Magic in Pune: A Night of Nostalgia and Rhythmic Bliss

In a night filled with pulsating beats and timeless melodies, Pune witnessed an unforgettable performance by the legendary rock band ‘Euphoria’ led by the charismatic Dr. Palash Sen. The electrifying show took place during the concluding session of the second day of ‘Vasantotsav,’ the 17th edition of the festival hosted at The Suryakant Kakade Farms, Kothrud, Pune.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Palash Sen expressed his gratitude to Rahul Deshpande for the invitation to be a part of Vasantotsav. He acknowledged the unique blend of Indian classical performances at the festival and emphasized the importance of recognizing music as a distinct identity beyond its association with the film industry.

“Euphoria Band completed 25 years recently, and being able to perform in Pune is special as my relationship with Pune dates back to the time when I studied in AFMC Medical College for a brief period,” added Dr. Palash Sen.

The audience was taken on a nostalgic journey as the band performed some of their most iconic songs. Starting with ‘Vakratunda Mahakarya,’ they continued with hits like ‘Rok Sako Toh Rok Lo,’ ‘Bhula Sab Bhula Jahan,’ ‘Dhoom Pichak Dhoom,’ ‘Tu Hi Meri Zindagi,’ ‘Kaise Bhulegi Mera Naam,’ ‘Raja Rani,’ ‘Duet of Dhoom Pichak Dhoom’ with Priyanka Barve, ‘Ek Ajnabi Haseena Se,’ ‘Khwabon Mein Joh,’ Punjabi hit song ‘Jugni,’ ‘Jaane Khuda,’ ‘Khwaamakhaa,’ ‘Mehfooj,’ and the all-time favorite ‘Maeri.’

The performance reached new heights when Dr. Palash Sen invited the energetic ‘Taal’ Dhol Tasha Pathak to join them on stage, delivering an energetic rendition of songs like ‘Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Galli,’ ‘Dhagala Lagli Kal,’ ‘Mach Gaya Shor Sari Nagari,’ and ‘Jhumma Chumma De.’

A special moment unfolded when Rahul Deshpande joined Dr. Palash Sen on stage for a soul-stirring rendition of ‘Musafir Hoon Yaroon.’ The night concluded with the crowd chanting for an encore after the band’s final performance of ‘Ab Kya Karoo.’

Dr. Palash Sen was supported by a talented ensemble, including Prashant Trivedi on Tabla, Rakesh Bharadwaj on Percussion, Aditya Beniya on Guitar, Vishal Mehta on Drums, Akshat Sharma on Flute, Vishal Dixit on Keyboards, and vocal support by Jayashree Basu, Depashree Basu, and Kinshuk Sen.
