Escalator ramp being installed at Pune airport; Passengers will get relief

PUNE: Passengers arriving at the Pune airport from other cities had to look for taxis while carrying heavy luggage but they will soon get a much needed relief. The airport administration is constructing an 80 metre escalator ramp connecting the terminal to Aeromall and it is in the final stage. The passengers will not have to run around carrying heavy bags.

More than 190 planes operate from Pune airport and every day, 26,000 to 28, 000 passengers travel by them. The passengers have to go to Aeromall to board taxis after arriving at the Pune airport. However, since the distance between the terminal and the Aeromall is quite a lot, passengers have to cover a lot of distance while carrying heavy luggage. Against this background, the airport administration is installing an escalator ramp and this will provide a lot of relief to passengers.
