Empowering Customers: MahaRERA Calls on Pune Builders to Set Up Complaint Resolution Cells

PUNE: MahaRERA has appealed to builders to set up a complaint redressal cell to address complaints of home buyers. An official should be appointed and his name and mobile number should be prominently displayed. His name should also be displayed on the website of the builder.

Initially, while buying a house or at the time of registration, the marketing team is in touch with the customer. Later, if a customer faces any problems, he does not know whom to approach. Hence, he faces problems while trying to find a solution. Many times, the customer does not get proper information and this leads to misunderstanding and creates more problems. This can also lead to a delay in completing a project.

Hence, if all builders set up a dedicated complaint redressal cell, the customers will get proper and reliable information which will help them. MahaRERA has also received feedback from experts in this field. The builders should display information about complaints received and the number of complaints solved on their website. This will increase the trust of customers in the builder.

MahaRERA had announced earlier that the ratings of registered projects will be announced on the basis of certain parameters. MahaRERA has said that setting up of a common complaint redressal cell will be an important parameter.
