Dry Day Ahead: Pune Municipal Corporation Announces Water Supply Cut on November 21

In a proactive move to conduct essential repair work and maintenance, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Water Supply Department has declared a temporary suspension of water supply on November 21. The scheduled repairs include critical work on the SNDT HLR and Chaturshringi pipeline connection beneath the Warje water treatment centre. Simultaneously, maintenance will be carried out on the water channel leading to Chandni Chowk BPT, along with repairs on the water channel at Kondhawe Dhawade Tank.

Impact on Water Supply: The temporary suspension of water supply will affect various parts of the city for the entire day on Tuesday. Chief Engineer of the PMC’s Water Supply and Pumping Department, Nandkishore Jagtap, has advised Pune residents that water supply will resume on Wednesday, the 22nd, but there may be delays until later in the morning, possibly at lower pressure. During this period, citizens are urged to use water judiciously and cooperate with the municipality.
