The fee collected in 2023 amounted to ₹43,53,91,000, and the auction brought in ₹3,61,05,807.

The demand for fancy numbers has also seen a notable rise. In 2022, vehicle owners in Pune secured a total of 40,103 fancy numbers, a figure that escalated to 50,941 in the following year, showcasing a growing trend in the preference for unique registration numbers.

A highlight from the data reveals that the highest amount paid for a specific number ‘1’ reached ₹12,00,000, a remarkable sum considering it was chosen from a series other than the usual LMV series.
