DRDO’s Remarkable Contribution to Hindi Literature Recognized at Pune Sammelan

The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) showcased its dedication to promoting the Hindi language and culture during the Third All India Rajbhasha Sammelan held on Hindi Day, September 14, 2023, in Pune, Maharashtra. DRDO, renowned for its significant contributions to various fields, added another achievement to its illustrious record.

This prestigious event, attended by eminent guests, official language officers, and participants from across the nation, witnessed three noteworthy accomplishments by DRDO. In the presence of Union Minister of State for Home, Ajay Mishra, and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, DRDO unveiled the book ‘Atulya Kalam,’ edited by the organization.

‘Atulya Kalam’ pays tribute to the former President and DRDO’s founding figure, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, by compiling memoirs and reflections on his remarkable life. Distinguished Scientist and Director General (ACE) Dr. Shailendra V Gade and Distinguished Scientist and Director Official Language Dr. Ravindra Singh were among the esteemed guests at the unveiling ceremony.

In another significant achievement, the home magazine of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Center, located in “C” area, Bengaluru, known as “Suvigya,” secured the second prize in the Rajbhasha Kirti Award category for Home Magazines. The award was received by Dr. Rituraj, Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Bengaluru.

DRDO further enriched the literary landscape with the release of the book “Nagri Nirali,” a compilation of 75 poems celebrating the Hindi language. Several of these poems were brought to life through musical compositions, and the accompanying CD was also unveiled during the event. Asha Tripathi “Kshama” served as the editor of this literary masterpiece and presented copies to the esteemed guests.

Prominent personalities, including Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Dr. Harivansh, and other distinguished guests, visited the DRDO stall, commending the organization for its commendable efforts in promoting the official language.

Mridukant Pathak, Scientist F and the conference’s nodal officer appointed by DRDO, offered comprehensive insights into the organization’s active participation and valuable contributions to the event. DRDO’s unwavering commitment to upholding the Hindi language and culture has once again earned well-deserved recognition and acclaim on a national platform.
