DigiYatra Revolutionizes Travel at Pune Airport: Passengers Embrace Seamless Access to Terminals

Pune: In a significant leap towards enhancing passenger experience, Pune Airport has witnessed a surge in the adoption of ‘DigiYatra,’ with approximately 57% of travelers opting for the digital check-in service. The initiative, launched by the Pune Airport Authority on March 31, 2023, aims to streamline the boarding process, allowing passengers to access the terminal swiftly, without the need to stand in lengthy queues.

The installation of state-of-the-art terminal gate scanner machines has paved the way for this groundbreaking service. Following successful trials involving four thousand passengers, the DigiYatra service was officially rolled out. Initial responses were modest, with some airlines hesitating to adopt the technology. However, over time, both passengers and airlines alike have embraced the convenience offered by DigiYatra.

One of the standout features of DigiYatra is its time-saving capability, enabling passengers to breeze through the terminal in just a few seconds. The elimination of conventional check-in queues has been a game-changer, prompting an increasing number of passengers to opt for this digital service.

How to Avail DigiYatra Benefits:

  • Passengers are required to download the DigiYatra app before embarking on their journey.
  • Registration on the DigiYatra app involves linking their Aadhaar Card number and other essential details.
  • Once registered, passengers enjoy a seamless check-in experience without the need for additional time.
  • Facial recognition technology scans passengers’ faces at the terminal entrance.
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel verify the scanned photograph and ticket details, ensuring a secure and efficient process.
