DIAT Pune Elevates Learning Spaces with Inauguration of Takshshila Smriti Auditorium

n a significant development, the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) in Pune marked a milestone with the inauguration of the Takshshila Smriti auditorium on February 19. Admiral R. Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, unveiled the state-of-the-art facility, accompanied by dignitaries such as Dr. S. Christopher, Former Secretary, DDR&D and Chairman, DRDO, Shri Purushottam Bej, DG (R&M), and Dr. Manu Korulla, Director, DCW&E and DMS, DRDO HQ, along with faculty, staff, and students.

The Takshshila Smriti auditorium boasts cutting-edge features, including a two-way audio and video system, facilitating seamless communication and connectivity for a variety of events, lectures, and presentations. Integrated with Bose technology, the auditorium ensures crystal-clear sound and high-definition visuals, creating an immersive atmosphere for the audience.

Designed with a sophisticated interior, the auditorium reflects DIAT’s commitment to excellence, providing a total seating capacity of 172 participants. This modern facility caters to conferences, seminars, workshops, and cultural events, enhancing the overall learning environment for students and faculty. The project execution was led by the Chief Executive CC (R&D), West and Team.

Dr. C. P. Ramanarayanan, Vice Chancellor of DIAT, expressed gratitude to CCE-W and Director, DCW&E, stating, “This auditorium is DIAT’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for learning, innovation, and cultural exchange. He further highlighted that the facility would contribute to enhancing the overall experience of students and promoting academic excellence.”
