Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, revealed on Saturday that Pune Airport’s eagerly awaited new terminal will soon begin operations, expecting readiness within the next eight to ten days. Mohol acknowledged that while the terminal is fully prepared, operational delays have stemmed from logistical challenges such as staffing requirements and the relocation of the immigration center.

“The new terminal is ready, but logistical issues, including the requirement for 222 CIRF personnel and the relocation of the immigration center, have caused delays,” Mohol stated. He emphasized the critical role of manpower in the terminal’s functionality and confirmed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have pledged swift action to address these concerns.
