Carnival held to focus on Decarbonisation
Pune: ISHRAE Pune Chapter’s “Chiller Conclave and Heat Pump Carnival-2023” held at Hotel Tip Top on 9th September 2023.
This year’s theme was exploring journey into the future of cooling and heating solutions and provide a platform for meaningful discussions on the future of energy-efficient technologies & was inline with ISHRAE’s Society Year theme “Engage Educate to Elevate with focus on Decarbonisation & Skill Development”
ISHRAE Pune Chapter successfully conducted its annual program the “Chiller Conclave and Heat Pump Carnival-2023”, with Ashutosh Joshi as the Convener, Chetan Thakur as Co-Convener & ably supported by the CWC team of ISHRAE Pune Chapter, the event received fabulous & overwhelming response from the attendees, with attendance of the stalwarts of the HVAC industry, with attendance of over 225 delegates including ISHRAE members, members from its Associate Societies, Consultants, Contractors, Industries, Academia and many more.
Mr. K. Raghavan, Chairman of Technical group of UVGI, an HVAC industry stalwart was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker who highlighted the current market scenario and India’s role in Decarbonation and Sustainability and how the Chiller and Heat Pump’s usage will affect its path towards Carbon Net Zero by 2070.
Dr. Anand Babu, Associate Consultant at Genex Consultants, Distinguished Guest Speaker explained about the Chiller and Heat Pump’s vital role in providing a energy efficient solution for comfort and hot water to the Hospitals.
Dr. Nitin Deodhar, Founder of NM Deodhar Consulting Engineers, Distinguished Guest Speaker and a subject matter expert highlighted that the selection of the Chiller capacity should to be guided and backed by uncertainty analysis for its optimum selection.
The event’s highlight was the Panel Discussion on topic energy efficient chiller or cost effective chiller, moderated by the Chapters Presidential Member Mr.Jayant Deshpande and Eminent Panelists from HVAC Industry Ajaz Kazi, Mr.Sagar Munishwar, Sandeep Anand, Gajanan Khot and Rahul Phansalkar. The Panelists provided insights based on their experiences and factors affecting the Chiller selection process.
