Chill in the Air: Pune Braces for Cooler Nights as IMD Predicts Dip in Minimum Temperature

In a recent weather update, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune has provided insights into the upcoming weather conditions in Pune. According to their predictions, the skies over Pune are expected to remain clear until March 8, 2024. The reason behind the upcoming change in weather is attributed to Northerly winds, which are anticipated to bring a slight drop in the minimum temperature over the next 3-4 days.

As of today, March 4th, the Shivajinagar area has recorded a minimum temperature of 13°C and a maximum temperature of 19.6°C, as reported by the IMD Pune.

Dr. Anupam Kashyapi, Head of the Weather Forecasting Division at IMD Pune, shared additional information on Twitter. According to his update, “Mainly clear weather is expected, with a fall in minimum temperature for the next 3-4 days over Maharashtra, Pune. The wind, moving towards the North-Eastern area, will impact North-Central India today. Thunder and light rain are likely only in North-Eastern Vidarbha (Bhandara, Gondia, etc.), while the rest of the state will remain dry. The minimum temperature will decrease in the next 3-4 days due to Northerly winds.”

Residents of Pune can expect clear skies and a cooler atmosphere from March 4th to March 8th, 2024, making it an ideal period for outdoor activities with comfortable weather conditions.
