Celebrating Creativity: Ambegaon Ganesh Mandal Wins Third Prize in State Govt’s Contest

In a celebration of creativity and devotion, the Maharashtra state government recently unveiled the winners of the ‘Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Mandal Competition.’ This annual competition recognizes the outstanding efforts of Ganesh Mandals across the state. Among the winners, Shri Khadkeshwar Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Mandal from Patur, Akola, clinched the first prize, while Tiranga Ganeshotsava Mandal from Vita village, Khanapur, Sangli, secured the second prize. Pune’s very own Ambegaon Ganesh Mandal achieved a remarkable feat by securing the third prize.

The competition, organized by the state government in collaboration with the P. L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, witnessed enthusiastic participation from Ganesh Mandals across Maharashtra. These Mandals brought their artistic and devotional prowess to life in unique and grand ways.

The rewards for the competition are truly a testament to the dedication and hard work of the participating Mandals. The first-place winner will receive a substantial cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, while the second-place winner will be awarded Rs 2.5 lakh. Pune’s Ambegaon Ganesh Mandal, securing the third position, will be honored with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

The much-anticipated award ceremony is scheduled to take place at Prabhadevi in Mumbai, with the esteemed presence of Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar. This event promises to be a grand celebration of culture, art, and faith, where the winners will receive their well-deserved accolades and recognition.

The ‘Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Mandal Competition’ not only fosters a spirit of healthy competition but also serves as a platform for Ganesh Mandals to showcase their exceptional creative talents.
