Bridging the Gap: NHAI’s Repair Work on Jambhulwadi Bridge for Seamless Travel

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the commencement of expansion joint repair work on the Jambhulwadi bridge along the Pune-Satara lane on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway. The scheduled repair work, starting from January 4 to 20, aims to enhance the structural integrity of the bridge, ensuring its longevity and the safety of commuters.

In collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Pune City, Vijayakumar Magar, temporary changes in traffic flow have been proposed to facilitate uninterrupted repair activities while safeguarding the commuters. Starting January 4, 2024, and lasting until January 20, 2024, one of the three lanes leading to Satara on the Jambhulwadi bridge will be temporarily closed. During this period, traffic heading towards Satara will be redirected through the remaining two lanes.

The modification in traffic patterns is a proactive measure aimed at averting disruptions and ensuring the safety of commuters during the repair work. Commuters in the affected area are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to the temporary traffic arrangements implemented for the duration of the Jambhulwadi bridge expansion joint repair work.

NHAI officials assure that the repair work is crucial for maintaining the bridge’s structural soundness and preventing potential hazards. They appreciate the cooperation of commuters during this period and emphasize that these temporary inconveniences are necessary for the long-term benefit of all road users.
