Breaking the Silence: Wanowrie Residents Speak Out Against the Senior Cop’s Daughter’s New Year Chaos

Pune, Maharashtra: The tranquility of the Oxford Comforts Society in Wanowrie was shattered on the night of December 31 when a young woman, allegedly inebriated and identified as the daughter of a senior police officer, engaged in a destructive episode. The incident, captured on CCTV, left residents in shock as chaos unfolded during what was supposed to be a celebratory New Year’s Eve.

Caught on camera, the young woman reportedly closed the society’s gate, trapping residents inside, and resorted to physical violence, assaulting and verbally abusing those attempting to leave. The CCTV footage exposed the extent of the disturbance caused by her actions, prompting distressed residents to call for police intervention.

In a surprising turn of events, the situation escalated when the woman allegedly assaulted women police personnel who responded to the distress call. Despite attempts to reason with her, the police had to use force to take her into custody. Astonishingly, residents claimed that the woman also vandalized society property during the ordeal.

What adds to the distress of the residents is the revelation that the young woman is the daughter of a senior police officer. Despite her alleged assault on a female police officer, residents claim that no case was registered against her, and she was promptly released. This has raised concerns among residents about preferential treatment and the importance of ensuring equal application of the law.
