Beware of Scams: PMPML Issues Warning Against Fake Recruitment Offers, Urges Vigilance

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has issued a stern caution to the public, urging them not to be ensnared by fraudulent recruitment schemes. This advisory comes in the wake of a recent incident where an individual was presented with a counterfeit appointment letter by scammers. The PMPML authorities have promptly escalated the matter to the Pimpri Chinchwad Police for a thorough investigation and necessary action.

According to the PMPML, a young individual arrived at Nigdi Depot on October 7, armed with what he believed to be a legitimate recruitment letter, anticipating commencement of work with PMPML. However, upon close scrutiny, PMPML officials swiftly determined that the appointment letter was indeed counterfeit, and the aspiring candidate had been victimized. The individual was promptly informed that PMPML had not conducted any recent recruitment drives, contrary to what the counterfeit letter claimed. Subsequently, a formal complaint was lodged with the Nigdi Police Station, prompting an official inquiry led by the Nigdi Depot manager.

PMPML officials are fervently imploring young aspirants not to fall prey to such deceptive ploys, emphasizing that PMPML is not currently engaged in any recruitment activities. They are also urging the public to remain vigilant and refrain from giving credence to any rumors pertaining to recruitment. Notably, the transport body has previously issued advisories to the citizens, cautioning them against placing trust in recruitment-related messages circulating on social media platforms.
