Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pune police Crime Branch seizes drugs worth ₹11 lakh; Three including woman arrested

PUNE: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) 1 of the Pune police Crime Branch took action at two places and seized drugs worth ₹11.22 lakh. Three persons including a woman have been arrested.

The ANC has arrested Laxman Gavner Kale (55), a resident of Solapur district from the limits of Hadapsar police station and seized 12.82 kg ganja worth ₹2.56 lakh from her. The police arrested a 45-year-old woman from Ashti taluka of Beed district and seized 13.33 kg ganja worth ₹2.66 lakh. An FIR has been registered against them.

Tulcharam Gigaram Chowdhary (39), a resident of Bibvewadi and hailing from Rajasthan has been arrested from the limits of Market Yard police station and 250 gm opium worth ₹5.85 lakh has been seized from him.

The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende and ACP Sunil Tambe by Sr PI Vinayak Gaikwad, API Laxman Dengle, Shailaja Jankar, policemen Vishal Dalvi, Pandurang Pawar, Sachin Malve, Manojkumar Salunke, Vishal Shinde, Pravin Uttekar, Sandip Shirke, Rahul Joshi, Maruti Pardhi, Sujit Wadekar, Dnyaneshwar Ghorpade, Sandesh Kakde, Nitesh Jadhav, Rehana Shaikh and Yogesh Mohite in taking the action.
