In a thrilling match at the MSLTA $25,000 Mens ITF Tennis Championships in Mumbai, Deepak Ananthramu secured his spot in the final round of qualifying by defeating tenth seed Yash Yadav 6-1, 1-6, 10-7. The tournament, organized by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) at the GA Ranade Tennis Centre, witnessed intense competition as players vied for a place in the main draw.
Ananthramu’s victory was not the only highlight of the day. Sixteenth seed Jagmeet Singh battled his way to the final qualifying round, overcoming the challenge posed by qualifying wild card Omar Rehan Sunar with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6(6).
