Amol Kolhe Refutes Ajit Pawar’s Allegations of Resignation, Asserts Dedication to Political Role

Pune News – In a recent exchange of words between prominent political figures in Maharashtra, Amol Kolhe, Member of Parliament from Shirur representing the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has vehemently refuted allegations made by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar regarding his purported resignation intentions.

During a rally in Hadapsar on Sunday, Ajit Pawar, a key figure in the Maharashtra government, addressed the crowd, raising questions about Kolhe’s commitment to his political role. Pawar claimed that Kolhe had expressed a desire to resign from his position midway through his term, citing concerns about the impact of his acting career. Additionally, Pawar expressed astonishment at Kolhe’s re-engagement in political activities, insinuating a lack of dedication.

In response to these accusations, Kolhe spoke out, defending his integrity and commitment to public service. He countered Pawar’s claims by affirming that he remains steadfast in his political responsibilities and has not wavered in his allegiance to the NCP despite facing criticism.

Kolhe emphasized that the opposition’s attempts to undermine him, particularly by highlighting his acting background, are baseless. He stressed that his career as an actor does not diminish his credibility as a politician, asserting that hard work and financial success are not mutually exclusive with political integrity.

“The opposition parties are targeting us and mainly on my profession,” Kolhe stated. “Whatever may be, calling me an actor and not a politician, one must accept that hard work and earning money are legitimate endeavors. We did not change our loyalties for any bribes from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).”

Moreover, Kolhe expressed disappointment at the attempts to misconstrue his intentions and loyalty to the party. He affirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Shirur and fulfilling his duties as their elected representative.
