Pune, 31st July 2023: A fire broke out in two air conditioners (AC) at the aquarium located in Sambhaji Garden on JM Road on Sunday night. The incident was reported at approximately 8:30 pm, and the Pune Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade team swiftly responded to the emergency.
Upon arrival, the fire brigade team identified the two air conditioners that caught fire. However, thick smoke inside the aquarium initially posed a challenge for the firefighting personnel to enter the premises. To overcome this, the firefighters donned Breathing Apparatus Sets (BA Sets), essential equipment used in hazardous environments to provide clean air for breathing. With their prompt action and expertise, the fire was brought under control within just 15 minutes.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or casualties in the incident. The fire brigade officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire to determine what might have led to the unfortunate incident.
