Pune, August 3rd, 2023: An unfortunate accident on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway caused disruptions in traffic movement on Thursday morning. According to reports, a collision occurred between two trucks near Bhor Ghat Police chowki on the expressway at approximately 8 am.
The accident involved a truck transporting glasses, which overturned upon impact, resulting in glass debris being scattered across the road towards Mumbai. As a consequence, the traffic movement from Pune towards Mumbai was severely affected. Authorities took immediate action and diverted vehicles from the old Pune-Mumbai Highway to ease congestion.
Emergency response teams, including IRB and local police, swiftly arrived at the scene to assist in removing the overturned truck and clear the roadway. As a safety precaution, the movement of heavy vehicles towards Mumbai was temporarily halted after the incident.
