82-Year-Old Grandmother Achieves Dream, Climbs Shivneri Fort, Birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

In a heartening display of unwavering determination and profound reverence, 82-year-old Parvatibai Muralidhar Vayal from Nandur, Ambegaon taluka, accomplished her lifelong dream of climbing Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of the revered Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Throughout her life, Parvatibai nurtured a deep desire to visit the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, an aspiration that remained unfulfilled amidst the demands of daily life. However, her son, Haribhau Vayal, recognizing the significance of this dream, orchestrated a memorable pilgrimage to Shivneri Fort.

In an interview with “Maharashtra Times Online,” Parvatibai Vayal expressed her profound satisfaction at personally ascending and traversing Shivneri Fort. She shared the profound sense of energy that enveloped her during the ascent, highlighting the special significance of the journey fueled by her admiration for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s valour and legacy.

Haribhau Vayal, recounting the experience, emphasized that his mother had never seen Shivneri Fort before and had frequently expressed her wish to visit. Determined to fulfill her desire, he facilitated her climb up the historic steps of the fort. The radiant energy and excitement displayed by Parvatibai left an indelible mark, showcasing a level of enthusiasm that would put many youths to shame.
