Pune: A horrific accident involving a container and a two-wheeler took place in the limits of Uruli Kanchan Gram Panchayat on the Pune Solapur highway on Friday, September 1 in Elite Chowk area at around 8 am where a 23-year-old biker died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Shubham Ramesh Lechrud, (23) a resident of Dalimb in Daund. A case is being registered in Loni Kalbhor Police Station in this matter.
According to the information received by the police, ” Shubham was going home on his bike to Dalimb. At this time, the container driver was speeding and hit Shubham’s bike from behind. The accident was so terrible that Shubham was hit on the head seriously .He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Uruli Kanchan for treatment, but the doctor declared him dead before admission.
Meanwhile, police personnel Ramesh Gaikwad and Rajesh Darade of Loni Kalbhor Police Station immediately reached the spot. The Loni Kalbhor police have made a panchnama of the said accident and the work of registering a case is going on. At this time, there was a crowd on both sides of the highway. Also, there was a traffic jam on both sides of the road.
