16-Year-Old Pune Native Mesmerizes PM Modi With Her National Anthem Performance In The US

Walchand Nagar, 25th June 2023: Riya Rahul Pawar, a talented sixteen-year-old from Pune, captivated the audience of non-resident Indians (NRIs) with her rendition of the United States’ National Anthem at a program attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States. PM Modi himself applauded Riya’s performance, praising her exceptional voice.

Residing in New Jersey, Ria Rahul Pawar hails from Pune’s Pawar family. During the program attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ria had the opportunity to sing the United States’ national anthem, leaving NRIs in awe of her talent. PM Modi, impressed by her performance, showed his appreciation by clapping and commended Ria on her melodious voice.

Ria Pawar, the granddaughter of Mangal Vitthal Bhosale from Walchand Nagar, possesses a beautiful singing voice. She has a keen interest in Indian classical music as well as Bollywood and Western music. The event held in Washington DC was attended by NRIs and members of the Indian diaspora. As PM Modi took the stage, the audience erupted in chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.” Following the rendition of India’s national anthem, Ria Pawar was given the opportunity to sing the US national anthem. Her performance left the NRIs and PM Modi mesmerized, and the Prime Minister showed his appreciation by clapping and praising her talent.

Expressing her joy, Ria Rahul Pawar said, “I was thrilled to meet PM Narendra Modi. I feel proud to have sung the national anthem in his presence. His blessings will serve as a great inspiration for me.”

Ria’s mother, Shraddha Pawar-Bhosle, and father, Rahul Pawar, shared their emotional response to Ria’s performance. They said, “It was a truly special moment when Ria presented the national anthem in the presence of PM Modi. Our eyes welled up with tears of pride. With Modi’s efforts in signing defense and other agreements with the US, India’s image has received a significant boost in the international arena. Additionally, the recent agreement with Google will benefit Indian students, allowing them to pursue studies in various languages.”

Riya Rahul Pawar’s impressive performance at the event not only left a lasting impression on the NRIs but also garnered praise and recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
