PM Modi Blends Tradition and Technology During Prayers at Shree Kalaram Mandir in Nashik

Nashik: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the religious ceremonies at Shree Kalaram Mandir in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Friday. Engaging in the puja rituals and witnessing the narrative recitation of the Ramayana’s ‘Yudh Kanda’ segment, the Prime Minister experienced a unique blend of tradition and technology. The recitation, conducted in Marathi, was seamlessly translated into Hindi through artificial intelligence, highlighting the intersection of ancient rituals and modern innovation.

The Prime Minister also paid homage to Swami Vivekananda in Nashik on his birth anniversary. Situated in the Panchavati area along the Godavari riverbanks, Shree Kalaram Mandir holds significant cultural and historical importance.

Panchavati occupies important place in Ramayana: Among the locations associated with the Ramayana, Panchavati holds a special significance, as it witnessed crucial events of the epic. Lord Ram, along with Goddess Sita and Lakshman, spent a significant period in the Dandakaranya forest within the Panchavati region.

PM Modi’s visit to Shree Kalaram Mandir precedes the grand ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22. Additionally, the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate and address the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik.

Projects Unveiling: Subsequently, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, the longest bridge and sea bridge in the country, built at a cost of approximately Rs 17,840 crore. Alongside this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an underground road tunnel connecting the Eastern Freeway’s Orange Gate. The launch of Namo Mahila Shashaktikaran Abhiyaan in Maharashtra, focusing on women’s empowerment through skill development and entrepreneurship exposure, is also on the agenda.

Major Projects Dedication: During the event, the Prime Minister will dedicate phase 1 of the Surya regional bulk drinking water project to the nation. Valued at over Rs 1,975 crore, the project aims to provide drinking water to Palghar and Thane districts, benefitting around 14 lakh people. Additionally, railway projects worth around Rs 2000 crore will be inaugurated, including the ‘Phase 2 of Uran-Kharkopar railway line’ and the inaugural run of the EMU train from Uran railway station to Kharkopar, enhancing connectivity to Navi Mumbai.

As Prime Minister Modi engages in these significant events, his visit encompasses a holistic approach, combining religious fervor, cultural richness, and infrastructural development for the welfare of the people.
