Pimple Gurav : Commuters in Pimpri-Chinchwad can now breathe a sigh of relief as the descending loop from Pimple Gurav to Nashik Phata Chowk, a crucial traffic link connecting the area to Pune via the Bharat Ratna JRD Tata flyover, has been reopened for public use. The loop was temporarily closed during the construction activities undertaken by Mahametro on Nigdi Dapodi Road.
The closure, necessitated by Mahametro’s construction work, had disrupted the usual flow of traffic through the loop. However, with the successful completion of Mahametro’s project, the loop has now been reinstated, providing much-needed convenience for commuters. The loop is accessible once again, starting from January 1, 2024.
The reopening ceremony witnessed the presence of key officials from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, with Associate City Engineer Pramod Ombhase, Executive Engineer Bapusaheb Gaikwad, Deputy Engineer Vijay Singh Bhosale, and Bhosari Traffic Division Police Inspector Salunkhe in attendance.
