Pune Crime News

PCMC News : In a swift operation, the Pimpri-Chinchwad crime branch unit successfully rescued a 44-year-old shepherd, Tukaram Sadhu Shimple, who had been kidnapped due to a financial dispute over a loan. The incident unfolded near Dhaneshwar Temple in Chinchwadgaon on February 28, leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of five individuals involved in the abduction.

The accused have been named as Dhyaneshwar Yadav Rupnar (22), Raghunath Narute, Sandeep Nakate, Hansraj Salunkhe, and Nitin Jadhav. According to the police, Shimple, a resident of Ambejogaie in Beed district, was involved in the sale and purchase of cattle and had borrowed ₹14.50 lakh from Narute.

CCTV camera footage analysis revealed that the four abductors took Shimple in a car headed towards Beed. Further investigation led the police to a house in a hilly area where the victim was being held.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Doiphode stated, “Tukaram worked as an intermediator in selling cattle for Narute. However, after the completion of a deal, Narute had not received ₹14.50 lakh. When Narute discovered that Shimple was unwilling to repay the money, he devised a plan with others to kidnap him. The group hired a car for this purpose, leading to the subsequent rescue operation.”

The Chinchwad Police Station has filed a case against the accused under Sections 365 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, related to kidnapping and common intention.

This incident highlights the severity of disputes arising from financial transactions, emphasizing the need for peaceful resolution mechanisms.
