Pune’s PCMC Introduces ‘Post A Waste’ – A Game Changer for Waste Disposal

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has unveiled an innovative initiative, ‘Post A Waste,’ designed to streamline waste disposal processes within the city. This service offers a simplified approach for the collection and removal of various types of waste, including tree and garden waste, green garbage, construction debris, leftover food scraps from hotels, canteens, event venues, and even e-waste.

Residents now have the convenience of reporting waste concerns by posting a photo along with details about the waste type and its location. They can do this through the PCMC Smart Sarthi Mobile App or directly via the provided link. Once a report is filed, swift actions are triggered to ensure the immediate and efficient disposal of the waste.

Additionally, PCMC has introduced an online complaint system that allows residents to monitor the resolution progress of their complaints and view post-disposal photographs. In cases where complaints remain unresolved within the stipulated time frame, respective departments, including the Health Department, Garden Department, and Environment Department, are empowered to enforce penalties against the responsible agencies.

The Smart Sarthi app extends to Pimpri Chinchwad’s residents the ability to easily submit complaints concerning various types of garbage and provide feedback on the services received, establishing a comprehensive and highly responsive waste management system for the city.
