Pune / Pimpri: A youth died after falling from a building while he was speaking on his mobile phone. The incident took place at Dange Chowk on Wednesday morning. The victim was identified as Ajay Ranganath Handibag (21), a resident of Chikhali.
According to the police, the victim was visiting the High Life Tower building at Dange Chowk for some work. He received a call, which he was answering. Then he fell from the building and died due to serious injuries. The police rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. They conducted a panchnama and checked his mobile phone. However, they could not confirm with whom he was speaking.
The police sought the CDR of his mobile number. Only after examining it, they would be able to ascertain the reason behind the fall. The police said that the place, from where he fell, has a parapet wall. Therefore, they could not confirm whether he fell or he was pushed by someone or he jumped down. They are also checking the reason behind his visit to the building. The Wakad police were investigating the case.
