Pune: Search For Two Missing Youths In Indrayani River Continues, 48 Hours Passed

Pune, 14th August 2023: The intense search operation for two missing youths hailing from Moshi, who are believed to have drowned in the Indrayani River on Saturday, continues as authorities strive to locate any signs of their whereabouts. The two young individuals, identified as Shaktiman Kumar (20) and Sonu Kumar (20), were reported missing after venturing into the river for a swim and failing to return home.

The incident unfolded when one of their colleagues, growing concerned about their prolonged absence, stumbled upon their abandoned clothes along the riverbank. This discovery prompted an immediate call to the rescue agencies to initiate a search operation for the missing youths. Both Shaktiman Kumar and Sonu Kumar, natives of Bihar, had been residing in Moshi, a locality within Pimpri Chinchwad, for several months. Their employment at a private company in the area marked their engagement with the city.

Authorities are operating under the hypothesis that the two youths might have miscalculated the depth of the river while swimming, which could have led to their unfortunate drowning. With nearly 48 hours elapsed since their disappearance, the search efforts have intensified in the hopes of locating any clues or traces that might assist in determining their fate.

The local police, along with rescue agencies, are collaborating to comb the Indrayani River vicinity thoroughly, utilizing resources and expertise to locate the missing individuals. As the search operation extends into its second day, the situation remains a matter of deep concern for their families, colleagues, and the community at large.
