Pune, August 22, 2023: In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation and gratitude, a felicitation program was organized by Team Sketchpaintxprs for India and associates to honor students from 23 selected schools who created and sent greetings, rakhis, and Diwali gifts to military personnel stationed in the border areas.
The felicitation event, held on August 19, celebrated the efforts of these young students who showcased their creativity and compassion by crafting meaningful tokens of appreciation for the brave soldiers who safeguard the nation’s borders.
Bijay Kumar, the Managing Director of Team Sketchpaintxprs for India and a resident of Roseland Residency in Pimple Saudagar, expressed his pride in the students’ initiatives. He stated, “Every year, we felicitate students from various schools who create Diwali gifts, Rakhis, greetings, and more for our courageous military personnel deployed in border areas. This gesture transcends religious boundaries, as Muslim students from schools in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, have also contributed Rakhis for our military forces. Even during the challenging times of the pandemic, school students distributed around 5 to 6 lakh masks to military personnel. We are truly proud of these impactful activities and our remarkable children.”
The felicitation program extended recognition to around 17 to 18 students residing in Roseland Residency, Pimple Saudagar. Out of a total of 46, students from 23 top schools were selected to participate in the event. The schools were represented by their principals, activity teachers, and the chosen students.
The esteemed chief guests of the program were Major General Sanjeev Dogra, Deputy Commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, and his wife Manisha Dogra. Major General Dogra delivered an inspiring speech, shedding light on the life and career of the Armed Forces and sharing numerous examples of their unwavering bravery.
Following his address, the felicitation ceremony commenced. Major General Dogra, alongside Mrs. Dogra, presented trophies and certificates of extraordinary excellence to the students, principals, and activity teachers in recognition of their remarkable contributions.
This felicitation event stands as a testament to the compassion and respect these young students hold for the armed forces, highlighting their dedication to expressing gratitude to the soldiers who tirelessly serve the nation.
