Planned Maintenance to Temporarily Halt Pimpri Chinchwad Water Supply

Residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad are advised to prepare for a brief disruption in their water supply on October 5th and 6th due to scheduled maintenance at the Nigdi water treatment plant. Joint City Engineer Shrikant Sawane has confirmed the need for this essential maintenance work.

The maintenance work at the Nigdi water treatment plant is set to commence on the evening of October 5th. Consequently, there will be no water supply on the evening of October 5th following the regular Thursday morning supply. The disruption will continue into Friday, October 6th, affecting the morning water supply as well.

Pimpri-Chinchwad’s water supply relies on sourcing water from the Pavana Dam in Maval, which is then treated at the Nigdi plant following discharge at Rawet. The planned maintenance work aims to uphold the efficiency and safety of the water supply system, impacting various parts of the distribution network.

In light of this scheduled maintenance, the water supply department of the municipal corporation has issued an advisory urging residents to exercise caution in their water usage. The disruption is expected to affect all parts of the city, making it crucial for citizens to manage their water consumption prudently.
