PIMPRI: Municipal Secretary Ulhas Jagtap has been appointed as Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The official orders have been issued by Deputy Secretary Priyanka Kulkarni-Chhapwale.
Three posts of addl municipal commissioner have been created in the PCMC. Two posts are for officials on deputation and one post is for officials who will be promoted. Pradip Jambhle and Vijay Khorate are on deputation from the state government. Municipal Secretary Ulhas Jagtap has been given the additional responsibility of additional municipal commissioner from February 19, 2021.
The state government considered a proposal sent by Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh on May 2, 2023 and the recommendation of the high-powered committee appointed for selection of the additional municipal commissioner and gave its approval for appointment of Ulhas Jagtap as Addl Municipal Commissioner. Since Jagtap was the only suitable officer for the post, he was appointed.
Meanwhile, Jagtap is going to get a tenure of 10 months as additional municipal commissioner. He will also be holding the post of municipal secretary.
