Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Inspects High-Booth Polling Stations Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey has taken proactive measures to ensure the security and smooth conduct of the electoral process. Commissioner Choubey conducted inspections at three polling stations with a high number of booths under the jurisdiction of MIDC Bhosari Police Station.

The selected polling stations for inspection were PCMC School in Borhadewadi, Savitribai Phule School Moshi, and Nageshwar School Moshi. Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police of Zone 3, Shivaji Pawar, Commissioner Choubey assessed the security measures in place and addressed any potential concerns.

With the possibility of a code of conduct being enforced for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for March, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate is actively preparing for the task. The jurisdiction of the Commissionerate covers three Lok Sabha constituencies – Maval, Shirur, and Baramati.

The Maval Lok Sabha Constituency includes multiple police stations such as Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Dehu Road, Ravet, Wakad, Talegaon, Talegaon MIDC, and a part of Bhosari Police Station. Similarly, the Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency covers sections of Bhosari Police Station, MIDC Bhosari, Chikhali, Dighi, Alandi, Chakan, and Mahalunge MIDC Police Stations. Additionally, a segment of the Hinjawadi police station is situated in Maval, and another portion falls within the Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency.

Given the extensive coverage and diverse locations involved, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police are taking proactive measures to ensure the security of the elections. Commissioner Choubey emphasized the importance of a robust security apparatus to uphold the democratic process and urged coordination among various departments involved in the election preparations.
