PCMC’s ‘Ranjai Mahotsav’: 27th Fruit, Flower, and Vegetable Garden Exhibition Set to Bloom from March 1 to 3

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Tree Authority is all set to host the 27th ‘Fruit, Flower, and Vegetable Garden Exhibition and Competition’ along with the vibrant ‘Ranjai Mahotsav’ from March 1, 2024, to March 3, 2024. The three-day extravaganza aims to promote environmental conservation and raise public awareness through various engaging programs.

The festival will kick off on March 1 at 10:30 am with an inaugural ceremony at Mayor Niwas, sector no 27, Nigdi Authority. Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh will officiate the opening, followed by a musical evening program named ‘Nadbramha’ by Uday Ramdas and an interview session with Bhagwan Rampure. Dignitaries like Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, State Cooperation Minister Dilip Valse-Patil, MP Supriya Sule, and more are expected to grace the occasion.

The festivities continue on March 2 with a unique ‘Live Calligraphy’ presentation by Achut Palav, enlightening garden seminars, a singing performance guided by Sachin Punekar, and a lecture on the ‘Existence of Ancient Garden Art.’

March 3 will feature a poetry event focusing on ‘Nature Poetry,’ a practical guide on ‘how to take care of roses after planting’ by Ravindra Bhide, and culminate with a Prize Distribution ceremony.

The event will wrap up with an initiative to foster environmental consciousness and public awareness through the ‘Nature for Walk’ presentation by the Mahafashion Foundation.
