Pimpri: Sambhaji Brigade City Unit President Satish Kale has demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) should probe the multi-crore TDR scam in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). It has been discussed in the State Legislature’s Winter Session in Nagpur. There is a likelihood of huge fraud in it. The ED should intervene and investigate the scam thoroughly.
In his complaint to the ED, Kale has stated that civic officials have bungled up a project to develop a reserved plot of land under the Development Plan (DP). They have inflated the construction cost and have tried to give a huge hike in the amenity space TDR to the developer concerned. Allegations of financial misappropriation have been levelled during the Winter Session of the State Legislature.
The civic administration should stop this corruption and bring transparency in its dealings. It is, in fact, cheating the government and tax payers. Details are not being revealed about this matter. There is a possibility of irregularities in granting of TDRs during the tenure of PCMC Urban Planning Department Deputy Director Prasad Gaikwad. He should be interrogated in this matter, stated Kale in his complaint.
