Movement of Vehicles to be Banned on Pune-Pandharpur and Pune-Baramati Road on July 13

Pune, July 10, 2023: In order to avoid traffic congestion and facilitate the smooth flow of a large number of beneficiaries attending the ‘Shasan Aaplya Daari’ (Government At Your Doorstep) initiative event in Jejuri, District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh has issued an order to ban the movement of vehicles on the Pune-Pandharpur and Pune-Baramati roads on July 13. The event will also feature the groundbreaking ceremony of the Jejuri Development Plan and will be attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

According to the order, the traffic movement on the Pune-Pandharpur and Pune-Baramati roads will be closed between 5 pm and 8 pm on July 13. However, vehicles coming to attend the program at Jejuri will be exempted from the order.

To ensure a smooth diversion of traffic, specific routes have been designated based on the jurisdiction of the Jejuri, Saswad, and Vadgaon Nimbalkar police stations.

Under the jurisdiction of Jejuri Police Station, vehicles traveling from Satara, Phaltan, Lonand, and Baramati towards Pune via Jejuri and Saswsd have been diverted through the Nira-Moregaon-Supa-Kedgaon Chaufula and Pune-Solapur Highway route. Vehicles heading towards Baramati have been redirected via Belsar-Kothale-Nazare-Supe-Morgaon-Baramati-Phaltan-Satara.

In the jurisdiction of Saswad Police Station, vehicles traveling from Pune towards Phaltan and Satara have been diverted either via Saswad-Narayanpur-Kapurhol-Satara-Phaltan or Saswad-Veer Phata-Parinche-Veer-Vathar-Lonand.

Under the jurisdiction of Vadgaon Nimbalkar Police Station, vehicles coming from Baramati and Nira via Jejuri have been rerouted through Morgaon-Supa-Kedgaon Chaufula and Pune-Solapur Highway.

The diversion routes have been planned carefully to ensure minimal disruption to regular traffic and to provide a smooth travel experience for the attendees of the event. It is important for all motorists to adhere to the traffic diversions and follow the instructions of traffic authorities during this time.

The ban on vehicle movement on July 13 is a temporary measure to facilitate the successful execution of the ‘Shasan Aaplya Daari’ initiative and the Jejuri Development Plan groundbreaking ceremony. The cooperation of the public in following the diversion routes and the understanding of the temporary inconvenience caused by the traffic restrictions are greatly appreciated.

By implementing these measures, the authorities aim to ensure the safety and convenience of all participants and maintain the smooth flow of traffic in the region during the event.
