Pune, Maharashtra – A deeply distressing incident unfolded in the Bhosari area on Friday as a newborn baby was discovered abandoned in a nullah near a slum locality. The shocking discovery was made by vigilant citizens who promptly alerted local authorities, leading to the rapid response of the police. The infant was found at approximately 8 am on Friday.
In response to this heartbreaking situation, the police have initiated legal proceedings against an unidentified individual. According to officials, the baby boy was discovered lifeless at the time of the incident within the nullah. Initial suspicions indicate that the child’s parents may have abandoned him in this tragic manner. As a result, the police have registered a case against an unidentified person under sections 318 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
