Foreign National Found Dead in Pimpri, Two Arrested for Facilitating Fake Documents

Pune, August 23, 2023: A tragic incident unfolded in Pimpri Chinchwad as the lifeless body of a 39-year-old woman from Uzbekistan was discovered on Tuesday. The woman had reportedly entered India through illegal means and had been residing in the city for the past few days. Authorities have taken action by booking two individuals who allegedly aided her in obtaining fake Aadhar and Pan cards during her stay in India.

According to the police, the woman had been residing in a hotel located in the Morwadi area of Pimpri between July 29 and August 18. During this time, she presented the fabricated documents, which enabled her to secure accommodation. The accused individuals involved in this illicit activity have been identified as Mukesh Bakshomal Keswani (41) and Krishna Prakash Nair (38).

Through the course of the investigation, it was uncovered that Keswani and Nair had assisted the woman in acquiring these fraudulent documents. The duo’s involvement has led to their arrest. A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), 471 (using a forged document as genuine), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). Additionally, they have been charged under section 14 of the Foreigners Act
