Fatal Altercation in Pimpri: Alcohol-Induced Argument Leads to Tragic End

In a harrowing incident that unfolded in the Lal Topi Nagar area of Pimpri on Monday, October 9, a 50-year-old resident, Mukhtar Badshah Sheikh, lost his life in a brutal attack with an iron pipe. This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers that can arise from alcohol-fueled disputes.

Swift Police Response and Arrest The Pimpri police responded promptly to the incident, resulting in the apprehension of the accused, 21-year-old Keshav Pawar, also a resident of Pimpri. The case was registered following a complaint by Rafiq Basir Sheikh, aged 41, at the Pimpri police station.

A Tragic Consequence of a Heated Dispute Preliminary investigations and eyewitness statements reveal that the fatal altercation was triggered by an argument that escalated after both Mukhtar and the accused, Keshav Pawar, consumed alcohol. The verbal exchange between the two men quickly escalated into physical violence.

Keshav Pawar reportedly struck Mukhtar Badshah Sheikh on the head with an iron pipe while the victim was seated in a nearby shed. This violent act was followed by a second assault using a stone, tragically resulting in Mukhtar’s immediate death at the scene of the altercation. The Pimpri Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
