Empowering Dreams: Levabhratru Mandal Awards Scholarships on International Women’s Day

In a heartening celebration of International Women’s Day, Leva Bhratrumandal in Pimple Saudagar made a significant contribution to women’s empowerment by awarding scholarships to deserving girls. The first scholarship cheque of ₹50,000 was presented to Purva Varade, a diligent B. Tech student in her second year at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Akurdi. The scholarship is part of the Leva Patidar Cares initiative sponsored by the Pennsylvania Group, amounting to an annual support of ₹100,000.

The presentation ceremony took place during a special event organized by Pimple Saudagar Leva Patidar Mahila and Leva Queens, where various dignitaries shared insights and guidance on women’s health, education, and empowerment.

Dr. Kalyani Ingle, presenting the scholarship, emphasized the importance of fostering educational opportunities for young women, especially those facing financial constraints. Purva Varade, from a low-income family, embodies the resilience and determination to pursue her academic goals.

The event further featured enlightening sessions, including Pratibha Rane’s guidance on pasteurization, diet, and exercise for women at home or in the office. Dr. Kalyani shared valuable insights into essential cancer prevention vaccinations. Additionally, a lively program showcasing women’s talents and introductions added a celebratory touch to the occasion.

Vikas Warke, the President of the Board, extended the organization’s commitment to community service by donating sanitary pad vending and disposal machines along with free sanitary pad supplies to 16 rural schools and colleges. Other initiatives include supporting science and chemistry laboratories, providing Open Gym Equipment to educational institutions, and planning a residential summer camp for boys and girls aged 8 to 15 in May 2024.

The Board demonstrated its dedication to women’s well-being by offering breakfast to all the women and men present at the event, along with distributing attractive gifts to each woman. Notable personalities, including Dr. Kalyani Ingle, Pratibha Rane, Yogini Barhate, Vijaya Chaudhary, and Payal Chaudhary, were felicitated for their contributions to the community.

As part of their ongoing efforts, Levabhratru Mandal aims to extend their impactful activities to a broader audience, fostering education, health, and overall well-being.
