Ayodhya Skyways: Airlines Forge New Connections Ahead of Ram Temple Opening Ceremony

Ayodhya, India – In anticipation of the grand ‘Pran Prathishtha’ ceremony for the Ram Temple, Ayodhya is set to become a bustling hub with airlines announcing robust flight services to connect the city with major destinations across India. The Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is gearing up to host over 100 chartered planes on January 22, marking a significant moment in the lead-up to the historic event.

Akasa Air’s One-Stop Flights from Pune via Delhi

Akasa Air has joined the ranks of airlines contributing to the increased connectivity to Ayodhya. Starting February 15, the airline will commence one-stop flights from Pune, making a brief stopover in Delhi before reaching Ayodhya. The daily morning flight departing at 8:50 am is expected to provide a convenient travel option for passengers.

SpiceJet’s Extensive Network Expansion

SpiceJet, a key player in the aviation sector, is set to enhance air travel to Ayodhya from February 1, 2024. The airline is expanding its network to connect Ayodhya with eight major cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, and Darbhanga. This move aligns with SpiceJet’s commitment to regional connectivity growth and aims to accommodate the increased demand surrounding the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

Air India Express Inaugurates New Routes

In a significant development, Air India Express has inaugurated new routes connecting Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, during the inauguration ceremony, highlighted the progress in Uttar Pradesh under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, receiving the first boarding pass, emphasized the importance of the upcoming consecration ceremony.

Logistical Challenges and Chartered Flights Influx

With the impending consecration ceremony on January 22, logistical challenges are apparent, particularly regarding chartered planes ferrying dignitaries and VVIPs. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath disclosed that over 100 chartered planes are expected to land at the newly inaugurated Ayodhya airport, with more than 40 requests already received for chartered flight landings for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event.

As Ayodhya transforms into a major air travel hub, the nation awaits the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, with airlines playing a pivotal role in connecting devotees and dignitaries from across the country.
