Tendam and Myntra Forge Strategic Partnership to Introduce European Brands in India

In a significant move to expand the footprint of European fashion in the Indian market, Tendam, the renowned fashion retail giant, has entered into a strategic partnership with Myntra, Flipkart’s fashion arm. This collaboration aims to bring Tendam’s diverse portfolio of brands, including the women’s lingerie brand Women’secret, to Indian consumers through Myntra’s e-commerce platform and offline retail outlets.

Empowering Omni-Channel Growth

Antonis Kyprianou, Tendam’s franchise general manager, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to propel the omni-channel business strategy. The partnership with Myntra, known for its alignment with omni-channel dynamics, positions Tendam strategically to leverage the expertise and capacity of Myntra in fully realizing the omni-channel potential in India.

India: A Promising Market for Tendam’s Brands

Kyprianou underscored India’s status as one of the most promising markets globally, emphasizing the importance of ensuring Tendam’s brands have a meaningful and relevant presence in the country. The alliance with Myntra, a robust and dynamic local partner, is seen as a crucial step in achieving this objective and making Tendam’s fashion offerings resonate with the Indian consumer base.

Expanding Women’secret Presence in India

As part of the collaboration’s initial phase, Tendam is set to inaugurate two franchised Women’secret stores in January. One will be located in the Phoenix Mall of the Millennium in Pune, and the other in Silver Arc Mall in Ludhiana. Looking ahead, Tendam plans to open a total of 20 stores across the country within the next three years, further solidifying its presence in the Indian retail landscape.

Myntra’s Commitment to International Styles

Jayanti Ganguly, Vice President of Category Management at Myntra, expressed the platform’s commitment to offering Indian customers the best of international styles and brands. Tendam, with over a century of delivering stylish fashion globally, represents a significant addition to Myntra’s diverse portfolio. The launch of Tendam’s iconic brand in India aligns with the evolving preferences of Myntra’s fashion-forward and trend-conscious customer base.
