T9L Partners with IndiaTech to Launch QUBE, Incubating 25 Early-Stage Tech Startups

T9L Startup Studio and IndiaTech, a prominent industry body representing Indian startups and investors in the technology sector, have joined forces to introduce QUBE, a pioneering early-stage incubation program designed for startups. In its inaugural cohort, QUBE plans to onboard 25 startups, offering initial investments from various industry bodies and individual contributors.

The incubation initiative, QUBE, is tailored to cater to entrepreneurs, providing them with financial support integrated with strategic and operational guidance from seasoned founders. Rameesh Kailasam, CEO of IndiaTech, expressed the significance of the initiative, stating that it will play a crucial role in shaping the trajectory of emerging early-stage startups on their journey toward achieving unicorn status.

Kailasam highlighted the evolving landscape of incubation in India, emphasizing that incubators are undergoing a transformative shift, offering not only nurturing environments but also services encompassing strategic direction, mentorship, regulatory and policy guidance, human resources, and access to funding.

Fahad Moti Khan, Co-founder and CEO at T9L, stated, “In collaboration with IndiaTech, T9L aims to utilize its proven methodologies and IndiaTech’s extensive network and insights, offering critical support to startups during their most vulnerable stages.”

QUBE, leveraging the startup studio model, aims to enable founders to collaborate closely with a team of experts across product development, growth strategies, fundraising, and technology. The studio concept is grounded in the belief that with the right intervention, many startup failures can be avoided.

QUBE Incubator’s Offerings:

  1. Early-Stage Cash Infusion: Ensuring founders have the necessary capital to fund the first 12-18 months of the startups’ lives.
  2. Professional Incubation: Providing comprehensive support across venture strategy shaping, product supervision, HR, legal aspects, investment banking, product execution, and marketing & outreach. T9L QUBE positions itself as a hands-on 3rd cofounder.
  3. Avoiding Startup Failure: Recognizing that failures, often caused by the lack of execution, inadequate funding, or team misalignment, can be mitigated.
  4. Personalized Attention: Offering hands-on support on crucial aspects of building a playbook, ranging from storytelling to product development, growth, and fundraising collaborations, facilitating startups’ predictable progression to the next stage.

Founded in 2014 by Khan, Nitin Awasthi, Achint Sachdeva, and Arjun Maheshwari, T9L is a startup studio committed to partnering with founders and assisting them in executing their ideas. IndiaTech, led by Rameesh Kailasam, is an industry body engaged in collaborating with ministries and regulators to support tech startups in India through incubations and mentorship.

In January, IIT Madras announced its plans to incubate at least 100 startups across various sectors, including sustainability, green energy, quantum, and mobility, in the current year.
